WHAT CONDITIONS EXCLUDE ME FROM HAVING COSMELAN?
Cosmelan is very safe and is suitable for most people however if you have any of the following you are required to wait the recommended time frame before treatment or for more serious conditions be unable to undergo the Cosmelan treatment at all.

Skin allergies or if skin is irritated or impaired - please book a free consultation to discuss further

Aspirin Allergy - unable to treat with Cosmelan as it contains Salicylic Acid

Cold Sores - ensure you take / use anti viral medication 3 days prior and 3 days after as it can cause cold sore outbreak

Treatment with prescription Vitamin A eg: Retrieve, Tretinoin, Adapalene - wait time to treat with Cosmelan Professional Peel 6-8 weeks. Retinol & Vitamin A products bought from a skin clinic is OK, its Dr prescribed Vitamin A that has a waiting time.

Pregnancy and lactation - unable to treat however we offer some great pregnancy safe options.

At Skin Radiance Clinic we have provided four package options, from our basic entry level to our elite home service with unlimited home LED treatments to assist with results and aftercare.
We also offer a choice of location when receiving the Cosmelan Peel. Either treating within our clinic or having the option to be treated in the privacy of your own home, due to the mask development time requirements.
We highly recommend, as does Mesoestetic, Cosmelan creator, with any Cosmelan treatment that a follow up LED light therapy treatment occurs 3 days post your peel to assist in calming and healing the skin faster enabling you to go about your everyday living with minimal down time. This can be done via our LED hire option, Omnilux Home Mask or in our clinic.

So you've done the research and have seen the wonderful results Cosmelan and the Cosmelan Peel Treatment program can provide, but its always beneficial to see how your skin will look and feel across the first 2 weeks of the Cosmelan journey.
Linda, our senior clinican & owner, experienced the Cosmelan Peel first hand and documented her treatment and results in the below day by day blog to show you what you can expect and how your skin may look and feel.
Everyone is different and the common side effects of the Cosmelan Peel is redness, heat, itchiness, peeling and swelling however everyone reacts differently depending on how your body deals with the healing process. We find a well prepped and hydrated skin usually results in less side effects and a more comfortable experience to get you back to your daily life sooner. If your skin care routine at home is pretty basic, we recommend to reduce the severity of the side effects a Pre Peel Facial treatment or to use our Brightening Peel Booster product for 3-4 weeks prior to get your skin ready for the high strength Cosmelan Peel.
Please review the comments and images below for more information on her experience however in summary, those first 3-5 days is when your skin will be at its worst, redness, swelling, heat and peeling and flaking will occur with the Cosmelan peel. Flaking and dryness can occur for up to 14-21 days as the skin regulates to the use of Cosmelan 2, the second phase of the Cosmelan Peel program. A light pinkness to the skin can remain until 30+ days until the skin cycle turns over and comes to the surface.
